Conference and Congress Centres
Riccione Congress Centre
Planned with an eye on technology, design, eco-friendliness and accessibility,
the Riccione Conference Centre is built entirely in glass and steel and is a
latest generation architectural reality created to blend harmoniously with the surrounding area. The Conference Centre in Riccione: technology, design and
innovation, in full respect of the environment.
Flexible and colourful.
The conference building offers maximum modularity with areas that can be
transformed based on specific needs, creating stunning settings.
Riccione Conference Centre can adapt to any request, offering the possibility to
host several events simultaneously, and offering the chance to personalize any
hosted event.
And at night its translucent windows change colour in spectacular and
fascinating succession.
A people-friendly conference style
Riccione Conference Centre is one of the few conference venues in Europe
located in the heart of the town that hosts it. Within 500 metres there are
dozens of excellent hotels, top restaurants, fashion boutiques and trendy
nightspots: all within walking distance and a stone’s throw from the sea.
A conference-friendly town
Riccione and the new Conference Centre is one of the best congress
destinations in Italy. Riccione has excellent air, road and rail connections. In the
heart of a territory rich in history, culture and food and wine traditions, it
offers endless post-conference possibilities, including excellent sport, wellness,
shopping, entertainment and nightlife facilities.
Rimini Conference Centre
Works are in progress, the new Rimini Conference Centre will be finished in a
few months (opening January 2010).
The Convention Bureau della Riviera di Rimini will be entrusted with the
management of the conference activity. The new Palacongressi will be the
largest conference centre in Italy, unique for its structural originality, technical
facilities and integration with the surrounding area.
The new Rimini Conference Centre, which will stand in an area of approx.
38,000 square metres, was designed by architect Volkwin Marg of Hamburg’s
Studio GMP, who also designed the new Rimini Trade Fair and is considered
one of the 15 major names on the world’s contemporary town-planning
scenario.
Designed to blend in with the surrounding landscape, the new Rimini
Palacongressi Conference Centre discreetly offers its services to visitors,
conference delegates and the community at large. “A solid, functional,
contemporary work and a powerhouse for the conference market”: are the
words of Volkwin Marg, at work with his team at the Studio GMP in Hamburg.
Priorities include green spaces and minimum environmental impact: the area
designated to house the complex is to be landscaped by specialist architect
Andreas Kipar. The redevelopment scheme will include improvements to a
small lake and streams and to the existing park, which is to stretch as far as
the sea. Footpaths and cycling tracks are also to be created. With underground
parking spaces for over a thousand cars, special attention will be paid to the
surrounding road system and traffic flows.
